Novint develops and licenses technology that adds interactive, bi-directional, high-fidelity 3D touch to computing. 2D vs. 3D
Many game pads, joysticks, gloves, steering wheels, trackballs, and mice employ 2D technology to deliver basic feedback (vibration or rumble) to users when they are playing enabled video games. While these devices are popular, they do not provide true 3D touch feedback. The Falcon provides high-fidelity, three-dimensional, interactive touch which was previously only available in high-end commercial controllers. This sophisticated technology, which is used in medical simulations and other professional applications, lets players experience an entirely new form of play that improves and advances gaming.
Integrating 3D Touch in Games
Novint's 3D touch API will enable you to easily add 3D touch to your content. 3D touch can be easily and seamlessly integrated into existing games or new products. Novint’s team will work with game developers to incorporate touch providing all necessary support and haptic expertise. While we complete our API, Novint will provide integration services for qualified products as part of our Third-Party Developer Program, which will launch later this year.
