Competitions

Enter our Novint TF2 Contest for your chance to win a Falcon and Pistol Grip! (Contest entry closed)

Interested in winning a Falcon? Well now is your chance! We are currently planning on having a contest in Team Fortress 2, currently among the most popular online FPS (First Person Shooter) titles. In this contest, we will be having multiple matches that will pit a team of mouse users against our Falcon team. If a mouse team is successful in beating our Falcon team in accordance with the rules set forth for the matches (Which will be specified prior to the commencement of the contest) they will be entered into a drawing to win one of a select number of Falcons, which will be bundle with a Pistol Grip.

To sign up for your chance to participate in this event, please complete the following 4 steps. Preference will be given to people who follow directions

1. Post a message on this thread to enter the contest. Include the following information:
1a. Your steam name
1b. Your steam id (steam id's must have at least 5 hours of time played in the game to enter)
1c. Your estimated skill level (noob, average pub player, decent, good, very good, pro, etc.)
1d. Your location

2. You can sign up on 4 sites total: The Steam forums, Edgegamers.org, Halflife2.net, and our boards at Novint.com. For each place you sign up, you'll get one other chance to enter the contest - like a 'ticket' to the drawing.

3. This step is important. Send an email to TF2contest@novint.com, including in the email all of the info from step 1 (#1a-1d), preferences on times that you can make a match (include as many times as possible. We'll do our best to accommodate them) (#2), and which of the boards you are posting at (steam forums, edge gamers, halflife2.net, and novint boards) (#3). If you say you'll join, you'll need to make sure that you find and sign up on the equivalent threads on those sites. I might not get them up right away at the other places, so just make sure you do it before the contest starts (we'll give the sign up threads a couple weeks, to make sure anyone who wants to get in, can get in) - it doesn't have to be before you send your email. We'll keep an excel sheet, tracking everything.

Here's an example email...

Hi, I would like to join the Team Fortress 2 Novint Falcon contest.

1a. Your steam name: tomnovint[Falcon]
1b. Your steam id: STEAM_0:0:11147211
1c. Your estimated skill level: average pub player
1d. Your location: Southwest US

2. I can play most anytime from 6PM-11PM MST, and on weekends most any time

3. I'm going to post entries on all 4 sites - Steam forums, Novint boards,
Edge Gamers, and halflife2.net

4. If you followed directions (didn't post more than once on a sign-up thread, posted all the info needed and just that info, sent the email as requested with all the relevant info, posted on all the sites you said you would, etc), you'll get one extra 'ticket' for the drawing for doing things correctly. Therefore, you can get up to 5 tickets for the drawing.

Just to be sure it's clear, the order in each thread doesn't matter - we'll choose randomly from the entries in the thread.
We'll coordinate most of the contest through e-mail. We'll e-mail a steam group to join as well, as the contest nears, but e-mail will be the main method to coordinate contests.

Good luck. remember, if you have any comments/questions, post on the thread with this link (we want to keep the sign-up threads clean):
